FIREDOOR THEATRE

FRESH DRAMA IN THE BIG SMOKE

Firedoor Theatre was established in 2013 by a small gang of actors, writers, and directors looking to bring fresh and accessible theatre and workshops to Dublin City. Since then the group has morphed and grown, but still sticks to this core principal.

We run weekly acting workshops focusing on creating a fun and inclusive environment and developing a wide range of performance skills. We also run directing workshops from time to time, and provide opportunities for writers to have new works read and performed.

Firedoor also works to produce a variety of shows and plays, with a particular interest in contemporary and original works.

We regularly hold auditions for new members: if you’re interested, get in touch!

The MAIN in Santa Clarita California is seeking entries for its upcoming 8-week online theatre festival that will feature plays from theatre groups, individuals, and companies from around the world. The MAIN is seeking play submissions for the upcoming Stage on Screen Theatre Festival performing January 22, 2021 – March 12, 2021. We encourage modern plays as well as classics. We are open to unique artistic conceptual changes that are available within the public domain or granted with permission from the publisher. We are looking for productions that are a full-length one-act or two-act play.

If your play is chosen to participate in the festival, we will purchase the licensing rights for you! You are responsible for your own rehearsal schedule and finding your own cast and crew. We recommend about 2-3 weeks of rehearsals, not including tech. Your show will perform once, LIVE over Zoom, on one of the Friday’s between January 22 and March 12, 2021.

And that's the end of our #DruidGregory journey.

#DruidGregory toured to 12 venues across county Galway. We shared the experience with 1200 audience members and 300 students.

Nothing beats the magic of live-theatre.
