Firedoor Theatre was established in 2013 by a small gang of actors, writers, and directors looking to bring fresh and accessible theatre and workshops to Dublin City. Since then the group has morphed and grown, but still sticks to this core principal.

We run weekly acting workshops focusing on creating a fun and inclusive environment and developing a wide range of performance skills. We also run directing workshops from time to time, and provide opportunities for writers to have new works read and performed.

Firedoor also works to produce a variety of shows and plays, with a particular interest in contemporary and original works.

We regularly hold auditions for new members: if you’re interested, get in touch!

Firedoor Theatre
Firedoor's 2nd campfire evening success. As Chair of Firedoor Theatre I am delighted with the success of Firedoor's 2nd Campfire Evening which presented 9 different acts containing new short drama, poems and stories with 15 performers. This campfire was organised and hosted by Dominik Domresonski and Shannon Rogers. Performances were heartfelt, animated, intriguing, spooky, thought provoking and more. I would like to extend thanks to all the people who submitted pieces, performed and to Dominik & Shannon for hosting and working on the technical side as well. I'd also like to thank everyone who came to watch the performances, your encouragement and support in these times is essential, especially as we are all a little "zoomed" out. We look forward to doing a 3rd Campfire in the future and keeping the arts and drama candles alight. Alex ... See MoreSee Less
