Upcoming Auditions

We have the pleasure to announce that we have a new play in the pipeline for 2024! It is the well-known Celebration, by Harold Pinter, and we will perform it at the Pearse Centre in Dublin, 6 to 10 of February 2024. But first… we have to cast it, and here’s where you come into play ;)

Here is what the play is about:

Three couples are dining in the most expensive restaurant in town. At one table are sat two brothers, Lambert and Matt, and two sisters, Prue and Julie. They are celebrating Lambert and Julie’s wedding anniversary. Seated at another table are Russell and Suki, who later join the other party of diners. The diners’ conversations are intersected by the existential ponderings of Richard, the restaurateur, Sonia the maitresse, and an unnamed waiter. The dialogue begins as an apparently ordinary celebratory meal but develops into a complex weaving of more sinister themes, including undercurrents of love/hate relationships and incest.

And these are the roles we are looking to cast this Saturday, November 18th:

*All characters have a playing age of 30-45 years old.
Prue (sister to Julie, wife to Matt)
Julie (sister to Prue, wife to Lambert)
Russell (Suki’s husband, a banker)
Suki (Russell’s wife, formerly his secretary)
Richard (restaurant manager – smaller role)
Sonia (Assistant restaurant manager – smaller role)

Auditions will be held at the Teachers Club in Dublin.

10am to 1pm.

If selected for auditions, you’ll receive a time slot and further details. You’ll have to prepare a short monologue of your choice under 2 minutes. During the audition, you will read some scenes, but you won’t have to memorize any lines.

Note: Unfortunately, we are not in the position to accept self-tapes this time.

The play will be directed by our artistic director Sanja Vodovnik.

Rehearsals will take place Mondays in a central location in Dublin, and likely another weekday (TBC, depending on the actors availability).

P.S.: We will pause workshops from now and until February because of preparation for this play.
