Firedoor Theatre was established in 2013 by a small gang of actors, writers, and directors looking to bring fresh and accessible theatre and workshops to Dublin City. Since then the group has morphed and grown, but still sticks to this core principal.

We run weekly acting workshops focusing on creating a fun and inclusive environment and developing a wide range of performance skills. We also run directing workshops from time to time, and provide opportunities for writers to have new works read and performed.

Firedoor also works to produce a variety of shows and plays, with a particular interest in contemporary and original works.

We regularly hold auditions for new members: if you’re interested, get in touch!

Reminder!! Spaces still available.
The workshop block starts on Monday 21st Nov. It's on the language of Shakespeare - what does it mean? How do you say it? Why did Shakespeare make up so many words? How do we act it? Facilitated by Brian Quinn.

We have a Shakespeare workshop block with Brian Quinn starting on Monday, November 21st, 7 to 9pm, in central Dublin. It finishes Monday, Dec 7th. Cost is 40 euros for the 3 sessions. More info on our Facebook page or email us with your interest at
